The KonMari method for makeup products
Marie Kondo is the author of the best-selling book "Magic Cleaning: How to Declutter, Organize, and Harmonize Your Life." For beauty junkies, the so-called "KonMari" method is highly recommended, because most of us have makeup piled up to the ceiling in the bathroom and it quickly gets out of control. If you follow Marie's technique and advice, you can reorganize your beauty collection in your backpack and have all the things you love at your fingertips again!
CLEAN UP
First of all, the most logical step: throw away any products that are broken or expired! These items only take up valuable space on the shelf, but are actually no longer usable. As a rule of thumb, most cosmetics last 30 months, so you should get rid of any products that you have for longer than that. Even if the products have not expired, if they smell funny or the texture has changed significantly, you should throw them away.
Marie has a very special technique that she uses for clothes, books, cosmetics, and more. If you pick up the product and it doesn't make you feel happy, you should get rid of it. In short: get rid of the things that don't make you happy. You have three shower gels lying around but you don't really feel like using any of them? Then get rid of them! If you follow this tactic, you'll end up with only really valued items that you really love.
PRESENT
Now that your collection is down to the bare essentials, it's time to showcase it! There shouldn't be anything left that you're not proud of, so you can confidently show off your pieces.
Marie says: “Makeup is meant to make you beautiful, so it’s very important to keep it beautiful.”
